Frequently Asked Questions
How much space do you need for a show?
About 8 × 8 feet of floor for Pip, plus room for the kids to sit up front. Living rooms, backyards, classrooms and library program rooms all work. Strolling close-up magic needs no stage at all.
How long are the shows?
The Birthday Bash runs 45 minutes. Library and school shows run 45–50 minutes to fit a class period. Holiday and corporate stage shows run 30–60 minutes, and strolling magic is booked by the hour.
Do you travel outside Northwest Indiana?
Yes. Home base is Valparaiso, and everywhere in Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties is included. Trips to the Chicago south suburbs, South Bend or southwest Michigan add a small travel fee.
What ages are your shows best for?
Birthday and library shows are built for ages 4–12, with jokes that land for the grown-ups too. The close-up and corporate shows are made for teens and adults.
How far in advance should I book?
Saturdays book 4–6 weeks out, and December fills up by October. Weekday library and school dates are often available with two weeks’ notice.
Are you background checked and insured?
Yes. Pip carries liability insurance and a current background check, and can send a certificate of insurance to your school, library or venue.
